S.A.L.T.E.D.
S.A.L.T.E.D., an Outreach Ministry whose main purpose is to put ‘salt in the water’ in the city of Chicago in an effort to quell gang violence, death and destruction amongst our youths, is one of the many missions of Advocates of Change. Without question, “The Water is Bad!”
“Now the man of the city said to Elisha, “Behold the situation of the city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful”. He said, “Bring me a new bowl and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went to the spring water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the LORD, I have made this water wholesome.” (2 Kings 2:19-22)
S.A.L.T.E.D. is a ministry of Rebuilders, Repairers, and Restorers who proclaim PEACE in our city and who strongly believe that it can and will happen if we return to the ‘things that make for PEACE’.
There is a plague of death and destruction that is prevalent in the neighborhoods of Chicago. Many children and adults alike are being murdered daily at enormous rates not only in Chicago but in various cities across our nation through senseless acts of violence.
- “And Jesus looked upon the city and wept and said, “If they would only know what makes for peace…” (Luke 19:41)
We know that there will be PEACE if we train up our children in the admonition and ‘fear of the LORD’ and become CHANGE agents.
- “You are the salt of the earth. If salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”(Matthew 5:13)

Saving A Life To End Destruction
Our earnest desire is to change the culture of the community by offering a solution to the violence that is prevalent and to minister holistically to individuals who are homeless, hopeless, destitute and in need of basic resources, i.e., food, clothing, hygiene items by offering physical support as well as spiritual (Prayer/the Word of God).
God has called the believer to:“Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.”
“If you say, Behold I did not know this; do not he who weighs the heart perceive it. Does not he who keeps watch over our soul know it, and will he not requite man according to his work.”(Proverbs 24:11-12)
